Service in the Graduate Council and Academic Affairs Committee & Senate. RESEARCH on  AI, Software Engineering, Natural Language Processing, Parallel Processing, Computer Science Education & Mathematical reasoning.  TEACHING graduate and Undergraduate courses on Compilers, Operating Systems, Computer Theory, Java,  C++, Software Engineering. Recipient of the 2014 National University Distinguished Teaching Award. Developed several experimental systems.

 

 

September 1989 to July 1999: Associate Professor (tenured April, 1995),  Computer Science, Hampton University, Hampton, VA. Graduate Program Coordinator. TAUGHT graduate and Undergraduate courses on parallel processing, Java, C++, Natural Language Processing, Software Engineering, Compilers, Operating Systems, Algorithms, Databases and AI. RESEARCH on Parallel Processing, Natural Language Processing, Instructional Systems, Software Testing, Object Oriented Programming, Knowledge Representation and Acquisition. Developed algorithms and several experimental systems on a 64 processor nCube machine. ADMINISTRATION of research project, Graduate Program Coordination, Staffing, Scheduling, Long Range Planning, departmental committees (served as committee chair for the Long Range Planning committee, Graduate Admission committee, Graduate Curriculum committee, and others), and the ACM local chapter.
